artistI have had a passion for landscapes since early childhood, spending much time drawing trees, and which has now developed into my photography you see today.  Though I qualified with a bachelor of business and other post graduate qualifications, my desire to be out in nature and try to encapsulate the intrinsic beauty it beholds continued to grow, particularly in light of all the environmental challenges our planet faces.  I was born in Melbourne but have spent several years recently living and travelling abroad.

In latter years I’ve been refining my techniques, initially in colour photography using medium and large format cameras.  However, I have personally found that I obtain the most pleasing results visually when photographing in the infrared black white medium.  I feel that the sense of surreal lighting encapsulated by this medium exaggerates the drama, mood and theatre of light and atmospheric conditions interacting with the land, providing an enhanced emotional reaction to the image.

My aim is provide these and other landscape images of natural beauty in the infrared black and white format, which is very much a niche in the world of landscape photography.  In addition, only the finest quality equipment and materials are used from the initial picture taking to the final printing process.

My images currently comprise of those taken in Norway, where I spent over three months travelling to remote areas and enduring many fluctuations in temperature and conditions to capture these images, and also images from southern Australia.  I will look to add to these in the near future with further images of my home country, Australia.

I hope you enjoy my images as much as I did in producing them.
